See what Clara Parkes of www.knittersreview.com has to say about Nature's Palette™ Green Sheep™ Columbia Worsted here.
The fiber is raised in Montana and comes flocks that are USDA Organic Certified. After shearing, it is then spun in Canada under the Canadian Organic Standard. Then, Nature's Palette™ adds their plant-dyed magic, bringing you a worsted yarn kissed by Mother Nature and human love.
Nature's Palette™ Green Sheep™ Columbia Worsted is spun using a method called mule spinning that was developed in the 18th century to more closely mimic the softness and suppleness of hand spun yarn. As of a couple of years ago, there were only 2 mills left in North America that produced mule spun yarn commercially, both of which are using machinery built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Please note that the process of mule spinning does not allow for splicing in new singles as the yarn is plied, so some knots are unavoidable.
This is a soft, cozy yarn - one you'll love as you knit and enjoy wearing for years to come.
